8 Day (Kite-)Surf and/or Dive Trip
A great combination: Watersports & exploring the culture and tropical beaches of Zanzibar
This group trip is ideal for couples and singles wanting the balance of an active trip combined with relaxation and exploring this tropical island.
Zan-zi-barrr!
Languishing just off mainland Tanzania in the turquoise-blue Indian Ocean, the island of Zanzibar conjures images of perfect, palm-swayed beaches, white sand, billowing sailing boats, bright colors and smiling locals.
Zanzibar is an island steeped in culture and history – a destination that brought adventurers, seafarers and traders from far and wide. The jewel of Africa’s 3,500km Swahili Coast, Zanzibar was long a key hub on ancient trade routes: slaves, spices, ivory and more all passed through Zanzibar, bound from the continent for Arabia and beyond. This lead to Zanzibar becoming a cultural melting pot – still in evidence today, in the beautiful, old Arabic architecture, in the Kiswahili language and the diverse dishes on the restaurant menus.
Whether you are an experienced (kite-) surfer or diver, or wanting to find out if these watersports are the right thing for you, you are very welcome to join. We have beginners and advanced lessons available at an (international) kite- & dive school with highly experienced teachers, situated close to the beach & hotel where you’ll be staying.
Explore this magical island, have fun ...

Day 5 Zanzibar, Tanzania
CULTURAL STOWNTOWN OR ISLAND VISIT
After an early breakfast you can make a choice in your day-activity (not included)
Stonetown incl visit Spice Farm (incl lunch)
The day starts with a drive through a profusion of greenery in the countryside seeing, smelling and tasting a variety of spices such as cloves, cardamon, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric, nutmeg - they smell as exotic as their flavours.
Then onwards to a wonderful introduction to Zanzibar which gives you a feeling of the rich cultural heritage on the island, in Stonetown. One gets a comprehensive view, history and walk of the Stone Town, magnificent architecture, narrow alleys, sand and stone ancient built houses where some of them are over 200 years old and have Arab/Indian carved doors. The tour starts at the main City market which was opened in 1904, where tropical fruits, vegetables, spices and fresh fish from the island are sold. Our next stop is the Anglican Church of Christ which was built by Bishop Steers in 1873 on the site where slaves used to be auctioned.
Island & Snorkeling Tour (incl lunch)
After breakfast we will be transferred to the pick-up point of a dhow with other guests to experience a beautiful Conservation Area and enjoy the tranquility of cruising by sail in one of the traditional hand built wooden dhows. Get a chance to see the dolphins, swim at one of the pristine sandbanks, visit the islets and snorkel at the coral reefs.
The island and snorkeling trip includes the use of snorkeling equipment with guides and instructors, ice cold sodas, mineral water and beer. We will enjoy a legendary sea food barbeque which includes fish, calamari & slipper lobster served hot from the grill. Seasonal fresh fruits, halua & coffee will also be served. During the trip we will get a chance to join the crew on a thrilling ride in a ngalawa – a local outrigger canoe carved from a single mango tree.
