Namibia: Naankuse Lodge & Wildlife Sanctuary
The N/a’ankusê’s (Naankuse) Foundation was established by Marlice and her husband Rudie van Vuuren, in 2006.
Marlice, the remarkable care-taker of her animals at the sanctuary, also lives a harmonious life here with the San Community! A documentary of her life, “Marlice – A Vision for Africa,” was released in 2008.
The lodge is crafted from ecologically clean material including solid logs and glass to complement Naankuse’s beautiful wilderness setting.
Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast and then depart to the Caracal Enclosure where you will take the animals out on their daily walk. After this, you will visit the animal food preparation area and see what the research projects are all about.
