A unique experience is Basotho pony trekking in Lesotho. The small but strong horses will carry you over mountain hills passing waterfalls, from 2-hours to 2-day treks sleeping in a Basotho village.
All the activities and treks are recommended to be done with a guide. The guides are from the surrounding villages and know the area like their own pocket. They love to share their knowledge on the culture and surrounding fauna & flora.
Visitors willing to help can bring donations at the lodge through school supplies or secondary clothing. It’s always good to ask what’s needed if you decide to do so, before you go!
Feel, smell and taste the richness of the authentic Basotho-culture. Sweet, smoky bon-fires that are lit each night.
