TOWN BY THE RIVER
After your arrival at Maun Airport, we will transfer you by shuttle to the lodge. The day is yours to explore the vibrant town of Maun, set on the banks of the beautiful Thamalakane River. Maun is the starting point for most expeditions into the Okavango Delta and as a result has developed into a bustling metropolis. Perhaps take a trip on the river on the renowned riverboat or by traditional Mokoro, or visit the Nhabe Museum exhibiting the local history, art and culture of the Ngamiland region.
A HAVEN FOR THE NIGHT
A secluded haven of tranquility nestled in a grove of mature riverine trees on the bank of the Thamalakane River. The lodge has an idyllic setting. All chalets and common areas have terraces that take advantage of the serene 180-degree view of the riverbanks and wildlife.
Airport Transfer
HEADING INTO THE DELTA
After breakfast and a little leisure time, the shuttle transfer will transfer you to Maun Airport for your charter flight into the Okavango Delta.
A World Heritage Site, the magnificent Okavango Delta stretches over 15,000 km2. The Okavango River sprawls out over the dry sands of the Kalahari Desert forming a flourishing waterlogged oasis featuring countless meandering waterways and crystal-clear lagoons. Enjoy any number of activities such as game viewing, fishing, bird watching or taking an authentic guided Mokoro excursion through this wetland paradise in a traditional dugout canoe. Look out for lion, rhino, leopard, giraffe, hippos, elephants and crocodiles!
HIDDEN TREASURE
The coming 2 nights you’ll stay a a unique & exclusive eco-sensitive camp which is situated on a remote island – a hidden treasure in the heart of the Delta. A network of interconnected walkways link two lounge areas, a dining room, library and self-service bar. Sweeping ramps lead to the lower level deck with two open-air fire pits and comfortable seating areas. A third deck houses a rim flow swimming pool and thatched lounge deck for warm summer days.

UP CLOSE IN THE WILD
Today you’ll travel into the wild – twice! Traditionally, safari activities are often geared around dawn and dusk; the best time of day for game sightings and also the coolest. This means the heat of the day is your leisure time to relax and siesta back in camp. An early wake up might not feel like your idea of a holiday at the time…but trust us that these early morning activities are often the setting for your most thrilling wildlife sightings! With several excursions into the Delta there is ample chance to see any of the big game animals the area is famed for.

MOST BEAUTIFUL RESERVE OF AFRICA
A change of scenery today, as you fly into the Moremi Game Reserve, in the east of the Okavango Delta. This reserve ranks as one of the most beautiful in Africa. With nearly 5,000 km2 of pristine wilderness, the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and dense forest. A diverse ecosystem supports a wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands.

BIRDS & LIONS
Today gives you another chance to head into the Moremi Game Reserve. Perhaps today might focus on the birdlife, as here it is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on Botswana’s national bird list. Some amazing shots are sure to be captured!
