On arrival at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport you will be welcomed by a Private Safaris representative in the arrival’s terminal. You will be driven you to Windhoek to collect your camping vehicle.
The remainder of your day will be at leisure to acclimatize and explore the city.

YOUR FIRST GAME DRIVE
Leaving Windhoek, todays journey takes you to the eastern side of the Etosha National Park travelling via Okahandja, Otjiwarongo, Otavi & Tsumeb, north of Namibia.
Onguma Game Reserve is one of Namibia’s best-kept secrets. Time permitting you can enter the Park with your vehicle for your first Game viewing.
On Day 2, you have the opportunity to fully explore the Park on self-guided game drive. Patience will often yield rewarding results!

Spend the night nestled in the trees of the Onguma Reserve, where each camper is ensured privacy and space to enjoy the bush. In this hideaway, there is a stunning main area with a restaurant where guests can enjoy a hearty meal and enjoy the view.

Today’s journey leads you along the Caprivi Strip. Driving through the Bwabwata National Park you will enter the Kwando Core area. The Kwando River rises from the central Angolan highlands forming the boundary between Namibia, Zambia and Angola.
On Day 2 you have the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife and optional activities offered by the Lodge (depending on availability). We recommend the Morning Boat Cruise and the Afternoon Game Drive.
