Arrival at the guesthouse in Malealea, Lesotho.

The coming days you become acquainted with a beautiful colourful culture. A magical place where dance and music are part of the daily life. Characteristic of the country is the “Lekolulo,” the shepherd’s whistle. And often you see the ‘Thomo’ in Lesotho, a stringed instrument that can only be played by women, and the Seto-tolo, a mouthpiece that is a male instrument! Ancient rituals and superstitions play a role in the every day life of the people.

After arrival you start the Basotho horse trek, through fields and along mountains. A fantastic way of exploring Lesotho’s beautiful rugged terrain. The following day after breakfast, your guide picks you up for an interesting cultural day tour, including a Basotho blanket ceremony. We can assure you this will be a day to remember!
