Depart after breakfast, your route today will be a relaxing drive along the Caprivi Strip, via the Bwabwata National to Kongola and then south to your campsite at the Kwando River, where you’ll stay 2 nights.
This area along the Kwando is known for the game reserves, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries which offer excellent game viewing opportunities.

In the afternoon you’ll experience an unforgettable 3-hour cruise on the Kwando River.

The morning is yours to explore or take advantage of the activities at the camp. Your afternoon will encompass a 3-hour game drive into the Bwabwata National Park. Now a conservation park, the Bwabwata has a fascinating chequered history. It is home to large concentrations of Elephant, Buffalo, Sable and Roan Antelope. Main predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Hyaena can be seen, and Hippos are found along the rivers.

Departure after breakfast, today would offer enough time to visit the Living Museum of the Mafwe people. Overlooking the Kwando River, the museum is a cultural highlight; an authentic open-air museum where guests can learn a lot about the traditional culture and the original way of living of the Mafwe.

Your camp tonight is set in the Zambezi Region – known as Namibia’s “panhandle” as it juts eastward between Angola and Botswana all the way to Zimbabwe. Its eastern most tip is the only spot on the planet where four countries meet. Choose one of the game reserves or explore the area by car.
